My Resources

being an indie author is hard enough without people gatekeeping. so here is a list of the best resources I’ve used in my journey.

these worked for me, they may work for you. they may not. but if you find anything helpful that’s GREAT!

I am entirely anti-ai and all of my work supports real artists and real effort. please respect artists and their craft.

Writing & Formatting tools:

scrivner + google docs

Atticus + KDP

A young woman with brown hair, blue eyes, and piercings, wearing a white t-shirt and jewelry, holding a glass of orange juice, sitting on a chair in a cozy home or cafe setting.

editing tools:

my editor for tbs: @Raws_Reads

I did a lot of self editing, of course. but a developmental edit on your work is invaluable. invest in your manuscript because once it’s published you can’t pull it back.

cover artists:

my final cover for tbs: @Selkkie Designs

I had a horrible time with finding my cover artist and lost a lot of money with a very unfriendly and very difficult artist. but i was very lucky to get to work with lexie from Selkkie Designs who brought taken by shadows to life the way it deserved

character artists:

I have been lucky enough to work with some amazing artists to bring imogen, kaed and the four corners to life.

I would like to shout out beth gilbert for bringing kaed and imogen to life first and for capturing their essences.

There are so many other incredible artists I’ve worked with and you can find them all on my instagram. Always tag your artists in the art reveal folks. and if you’re resharing their art please do that too xx
